What is a koerslijst?
A koerslijst is a table from a data provider, such as the ANWB-BOVAG Koerslijst or Autotelex, with multiple values per make, model, year and mileage: the trade-in value (what a dealer pays you for it), the private sale value (a realistic asking price when selling to a private buyer) and the dealer retail value (a dealer's asking price on the lot). Those values come from historical transaction data for that combination, not from an appraisal of your specific car.

A koerslijst is the table with multiple values for a make, model, year and mileage in general. Dagwaarde is one number: what your specific car, with its own mileage, condition and options, is worth today. Insurers usually derive the dagwaarde from the koerslijst (typically the trade-in value line, sometimes the private sale value) and adjust it based on mileage and condition.
Insurers use the trade-in value line as the basis for the dagwaarde in damage payouts. Dealers use the trade-in value as a benchmark for trade-ins. For private individuals a koerslijst is mainly useful as a first indication, not as an exact selling price.
A koerslijst is based on historical transactions for that general combination of make, model, year and mileage, not on the current supply and demand right now. A scarce model can be worth more on the market today than the koerslijst indicates. A model with plenty of supply can fetch less.
We don't work with a table based on historical transactions. Search your make, model and year and you see the p25, median and p75 of what comparable cars are actually costing today on AutoScout24 and Marktplaats: the current market value, refreshed on the day itself. Free, no account.
